Behind the Set
Reading With Cruel Times Inbetween

Based on various works by Al Pittman.

My favourite line so far is:

“ Cinderella dressed in yella down in the corner kissing her fella.  Hug him, kiss him, kick him in the pants.  That is the end of your romance.”

Back in Newfoundland

Back at Gros Morne Theatre Festival for another year of fun. This year I’m also assistant painter as well as the Props gal.

The completed Blue Beetle shirt. Soon to be available over at the Geektory.ca

I faced some challenges with this one. The spray fabric paint was too watered down so it didn’t keep it’s colour against the darker blue background. AND it bled past the stencil. So I whipped out my fabric paints, outlined the bleeding blue in black and then when the spray blue dried, covered it with some lighter blue fabric paint and BAM…

In the future, I may switch to iron on transfers but for now we’ll have hand painted Blue Scarabs for everyone :3

Super geeky shirt.

WIP: Blue Beetle T-shirt.

I’ve had this idea for awhile now, ever since I got hooked on Young Justice A t-shirt with a blue beetle on the back.

I designed the pattern on Photoshop, printed it out, cut it out on some hard plastic and sprayed it onto the back of the T-shirt with Spray Fabric paint. We’ll see what happens in 4 hours.

Defiance

Last April, I made some wild looking plants at Vision’s Display. Lots of Hot glue and ramming pieces into moss covered foam pieces. And I was overwhelmed with excitement when I saw them on Defiance. I don’t get a credit or anything on the show but it really makes you proud when you see you work on TV. (Pictures coming soon)

Commission: Belle and Batman cake toppers :3
These little guys are hand turned on the lathe and then painted and covered in gloss.

Newfoundland Here I come!

I was invited back to Gros Morne Theatre for this year. I’ll be heading out in May. This time not only will I be doing Props but I’ll also be Assistant Scenic Painter :3

Who wants to play Video games?

My first go at making a BMO plushie. There’s room for improvement for sure but I think I did pretty good on the first go.

Geektory.ca

I made a Jake the Dog fleece hat! Perfect for those cold winter afternoons.

Now Available at the Geektory.

WIP: Beemo from Adventure time

Some pictures from my work at Fort Henry’s Fort Fright event 2012. I got to set all the props and mazes up, do some touch ups, turn everything on every night and scare the crap out of people.  :3

Belle and the Beast Cake toppers.

When my sister was getting married, I was in charge of making her cake toppers. So I tested my skills on these two before doing hers.
